Pony.ai completed the first test of domestic/China autonomous truck on public highways
On December 5th, the autonomous driving truck of Pony.ai was driven into the Beijing-Taiwan Expressway and started the normalized autonomous test.
According to the official introduction, it was the first time that a domestic autonomous driving company had conducted a high-level autonomous driving test on a public highway that is open to policies.
In terms of commercial operation, Pony.ai has completed 16,400 tons of freight transportation so far, with a commercial mileage of 50,000 kilometers.
This autonomous truck is based on FAW’s J7. It is mainly used in the logistics field, and can fulfill L4 autonomous driving on complicated road and high way.
