DECO launched Rear Wheel Steering (RWS) at Auto Shanghai 2023
At Auto Shanghai 2023, DECO displayed its cutting-edge innovation of steering system – Rear Wheel steering (RWS) technology, as well as a full range of latest innovation and solution for L2-L4 i-steering and Steer-by-Wire system.
Nowadays, vehicles are getting physically larger, and wildly heavy for electrification and comfort demand, which causes a conflict between enlarged wheelbase and driving flexibility.
Rear wheel steering is designed to solve this problem. When driving at low speeds, the front and rear wheels move in opposite direction, which reducing the turning radius effectively.
It gives larger, heavier vehicles a quicker and easier performance than what they would have if only the front wheels turned, which is very useful in narrow space such as U-turn in two-lane, parallel parking, reverse stall parking and so on.
DECO Rear Wheel Steering product has received the initial acceptance from OEM, expected to be mass produced in the second half of 2024.
