Pony.ai set up a joint venture with SANY Heavy Truck
On July 28th，autonomous driving company Pony.ai and SANY Heavy Truck, announced the plan to set up a joint venture, focusing on the R&D, production and sales of L4 autonomous driving heavy truck.
Combining the “virtual driver” technology of Pony.ai and SANY’s technological accumulation of Chassis-By-Wire and automobile, they will define and develop L4 intelligent trucks with redundancy for the future-oriented smart logistics industry together.
DECO has achieved R&D and mass production of intelligent steering system with full redundancy by now, which can be applied to L2-L4 intelligent heavy truck. Steering products meet the standards of GB17675-2021 and Automotive Safety Integrity Level-D.
The steering system adopts six-phase dual redundant PMSM as the actuator, while the power & communication module, MCU, sensor and MOS drive module are all designed with redundancy.
It can realize high-precision intelligent control and its angle sensing accuracy can reach a leading-edge data of±0.5 in the industry.
DECO has been engaged in the research on X-By-Wire technology since 2011, having established strategic cooperation with dozens of leading enterprises in automobile industry and served lots of autonomous driving teams in universities. DECO is aimed to assist business partners to realize the commercialization and mass production of L2-L4 autonomous driving vehicles.
