Ford F-150 Lightning electric pickup will be launched on April 26th

On April 13th, Ford CEO Jim Farley tweeted, “Ford F-150 Lightning electric pickup will be launched on April 26th.”

Ford plans to hold a special event to celebrate the official mass production of F-150 Lightning all-electric pickup and delivery to the first batch of customers in Rouge Electric Vehicle Center in Michigan.


The reservations of F-150 lightning electric pickup was limited to 200,000, while Ford hasn’t revealed how many reservations have been converted.


Ford plans to produce 150,000 F-150 Lightning electric pickups per year by mid-2023, with price starting at $41,669, including shipping.  


The NEDC of F-150 Lightning electric pickup will be up to 320 miles, according to final data released by the EPA in March.
