Volkswagen plans to expand its Chattanooga plant in the US
According to a new report, the Volkswagen is currently considering an expansion of its plant in Chattanooga to produce an all-electric pickup truck as well as the electric microbus -- ID.Buzz, which helps VW to expand its market shares in the U.S.
The Volkswagen plans to invest at least $7.1 billion in North America over the next five years and add 25 new electric models by 2030.
Due to the escalation of Russia-Ukraine conflict, the Volkswagen announced that it would move more production to China and the U.S.
